Wedding Hiatus

Hiya folks,

I'll be on a 3-week hiatus as the wedding's next week (*gulp*), so lots and lots and LOTS to do. Tim's back, so an extra set of hands to help out on the gluing of papers, carrying of stuff, driving around, etc is great :p

I'm still pretty much a ball of nerves, so here's hoping things will go smoothly.

Please keep us in your prayers; we'd so appreciate it.

I'll see y'all after Chinese New Year ;)

PS: Please pray and/or keep your fingers and toes crossed that I do not do the unforgivable thing at weddings - trip and fall flat on my face *double gulp*

I Wonder ...

With so much that's been going on around us these days, I find myself wondering, that each time I step out of the house, would I be able to return home safely?

Am I the only one with such thoughts? Or am I just being paranoid?

:(

No Job = No Money

As of last Friday, I'm now officially unemployed.

I have also become one of Malaysia's sampah masyarakat.

In the words of the Constantly Dramatic One, this sucks donkey balls :(

Random Ramblings of the Day

This week's my last at the office. Man, I have a lot of junk accumulated the past four years. It's going to take me a couple of days to clear out my things. Feeling a tad melancholic though. My colleagues think I'm nuts 'cos they're green with envy that I'm leaving, and not them :p

****************

I received a terrifying email from my uncle in the US today. My uncle, aunt and cousin got robbed at gunpoint in their HOME last night (in the garage, just after they parked their car and got out). Thank God that all the robber took was money, and left immediately. They rang the police, sniff dogs came, even helicopters were dispatched to find the car which my uncle spotted and noted of the license number. All are safe, and even though the locks were changed overnight, their safety's been violated *shudder*.

****************

I broke my glasses again. This is the second time in a year. Both pairs were rimless. Guess what I bought this time? Yep, another pair of flimsy rimless glasses. I never learn, do I? *sigh*

****************

It's 26 days to the wedding. And 19 days to the reception in the Penang. I still have so many items not done. And since I've been so stressed out, I can't stop shoving food into my mouth. Why can't I be one of those bride-to-bes who can't eat a thing nearing the wedding??

Loo Habits

Toilet Habits

After reading about peculiar toilet habits at Zewt's, I thought I'd share a bit of my family's peculiar loo manners. And since my parents and brother do not read my blog (gosh, I hope they don't! If you know them, keep it hushed!), I'd give you a window into their toilet habits :p

Dad - Spends AGES on the throne. Brings either newspapers or his notebook with him. I can hear Taiwanese talk shows, Cantonese drama, etc sounds from the loo. His advice for me is that I have to learn to do my big business daily. Ada input, mesti ada output. Tiap-tiap hari mesti output.

Brother - Stacks of comics in the loo. Cannot aim to save his life. Anyways, Ah Boy, if you actually do happen to read this, you really gotta learn to shoot properly. I haven't made you actually sit down to pee yet, but man, I'm tempted to. You're stinkin' up the loo!

As for me, well, when I was a lot younger (6 to 8 years old), I've always fancied myself peeing standing up. I didn't understand why it was so easy for boys to pee standing up, and I had to squat (especially when you really have to go whilst on the highway; the grass tickles!). Thank God for the throne.

Oh, and I HAVE to have reading material in the loo. Regardless of whether it's to take a leak, or a dump. And don't we all love a good dump? :p

So Zewt, does that answer your question? ;)

PS: How's that for the first entry of 2008? Tee hee hee!
