Shoppin' Sunday

Queensbay Mall is NOT a good place for me. Well, not good for my wallet, that is. Everytime I'm there, I always end up buying something. I went there with the SOLE intention to buy a few greeting cards (Borders is the only place that sells Hallmark cards, for some reason. And they are friggin' EXPENSIVE!) but ended up with 3 bags-ful of stuff. Yay goes my credit card for some use, big ouch to my bank account. Doesn't help that there are sales everywhere. Sigh.

Oh yeah, something to gripe about. Why is it that salespeople automatically assume you can speak in Mandarin, 'cos that's the first language that comes out of their mouth everytime they serve us Chinese customers. And when I reply in English, they give me this "oh poor you, you can't speak Chinese" look, whilst serving me in broken English. Yeah I know. I'm a "banana". Whatever. Anyway, last I heard, English is still the universal spoken language. Gah! *roll eyes*

Anyhoos ... yeah, that's my weekend, which is almost over. Finally unpacked my boxes, up to two left. At least my room looks semi-decent now.

Hope y'all had a good weekend. Work begins tomorrow, which ... okay, I don't even wanna get started on that. Gotta enjoy what's left of my Sunday, no?

PS: Oh, and by the way, have y'all tried Origin's Peace of Mind On-the-spot relief (RM44)? I saw it on Bee's blog, thought I'd try it out. It's fantastic. Great for headaches.

Hallmark cards are really expensive
Imagine grabbing a card and finds out it costs like 40 when you are paying at the counter
:(

Jemima: That's a good idea. I will definitely be bringing that with me to Melb ;)

Zeroimpact: Yeah tell me about it. I grabbed a really nice Hallmark card, but almost dropped it when I turned the card, and saw the pricetag - RM20. For a flippin' card?? You've GOT to be kidding me! :(

Paris: Hehehehe ... well, let's see. I bought a bag from Fila (up to 70% off, but last day lah), some moisturiser, the Origins thingy, a few cards ... hmm, I know there's more, but I can't recall :p
